Ms. Linda Denise (Woodard) Gaither

Linda Denise Woodard Gaither was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina to the late Alice and Woodrow Wilson Woodard. Linda attended schools in Fairfield County. She worked in many locations throughout the county and state: Mlily, Cameo, and White Oak Baptist Center.  Her last job was at the Ross Distribution Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Linda was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church. Linda spent a lot of her spare time crocheting and making beautiful pieces for all to enjoy. She even became a certified hair braider. She loved the young people dearly.

Linda Gaither was preceded in death by her late mother Alice Woodard, father; Woodrow Wilson Woodard, sisters; Lelia Woodard, Frances Woodard, and Debbie Woodard, sister-in-law: Roberta Young, brother; Woodrow W. Woodard, Jr. and daughter-in-law; Enrique Chambers Caldwell.

Linda leaves to cherish her husband, Larry W. Gaither, her children: Shirleen (Ray) Holmes of Great Falls, SC, Shane Thomas of Ridgeway, SC, Brandon Fowler of Great Falls, SC, Larry Gaither, Jr. of Great Falls, SC and Tedrick (Preston) Gaither of Great Falls, SC.

Her siblings; Margie (Marcus) Young, Sara Woodard, George (Mary) Woodard, Daisy McGraw, Keith (Deborah) Woodard, John (Mildred) Woodard, James (Michelle) Woodard, Gregory (Harriet) Woodard; Sister-in-laws: Shirley Kennedy and Margaret Talford, both of Great Falls, SC and one brother-in-law, Charles (Teresa) Gaither of Danville, Virginia. Linda had 15 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and a few close friends.

Funeral service and burial for Ms. Linda W. Gaither will be 3 pm Sunday July 30, 2023 @ Pleasant Grove AME Church, 1018 Gibson End Rd. Great Falls SC 29055. Visitation will be Saturday July 29, 2023 from 12 noon to 6 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
