Ms. Juanita A. Broome

Ms. Juanita Broome, 66 departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2014 as a result of a car accident. Ms. Broome was born in Fairfield County on April 11, 1948. She graduated from Fairfield High School, and received a degree in Nursing. She was employed by S.C. Department of Mental Health as a Nurse; she also worked at other Healthcare facilities in Fairfield and Richland Counties. She was loved and admired by her professional peers and friends, and showed true compassion to the patients she cared for. Surviving are one Daughter: Shanda Latrice Mathis, Portsmouth, VA;  Daughter-in-law, Michelle L. Mathis, Winnsboro, SC; Three grandchildren, Shadae K. Mathis, Arshad Mathis, Jr. and Ashton Thomas; Her companion of 40 years, Mr. Mercer Mathis. Brothers;  Kenneth and Claude Broome of Winnsboro, SC, Ralph Connely, Hickory, NC, Dwight Worthy, Greenville, SC, Curtis, Cedric and Barron Broome of Columbus, GA. Two Sisters, Patricia Broome, Winnsboro, SC, and Becky Wilson, Jacksonville, Fla, Cousins and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held for Ms. Broome at Bethlehem AME Church, 3276 Smallstown Road, Winnsboro, SC on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 4:00PM, the family will receive friends directly after services at the church.
