Ms. Angela Patricia Young

On Monday January 27, 2025 Angela was summoned home to be with her Heavenly Father.

She attended high school in Winnsboro, SC. At age of 17 she relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she went to business school and accepted a job at Melon Bank. She lived in Philadelphia for over 40 years, then she relocated to Louisiana to live with her daughter. She relocated to her hometown in Ridgeway, SC. She left this earth in Louisiana with her daughter and personal caregiver.

She leaves to cherish loving memories two children, Tanya Gibson Sr. of Louisiana and Derrick Young (Lisa) of Florence, SC. Four grandchildren, Eugene Kennedy Jr., Tanya Gibson Jr., Matthew Young, and Christa Young, four great grandchildren, Eugene Kennedy III, Khloe Kennedy, Khali Kennedy, and Sage Gibson. 

She also leaves her sister, Ms. Shirley Squirewell, brother, Gerald Gibson (Elizabeth) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Estelle Thomas, parents, Dorothy Walker, and Donald Gibson and sister, Rita Kennedy.

She was passionate about walking and raising money for the diabetes foundation. She was very active in her church. 

 Graveside service will be 11 am Monday February 10, 2025 @ St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday February 8, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 3 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro Sc 29180.
