Willia Mae Peoples Coleman, 90, was born to the late Robert Peoples and Bessie TrappPeoples on April 2, 1927, in Blair, SC, the ninth of thirteen children. On early Saturdaymorning, December 16, 2017, the angels were sent by God to University Hospitals MonteAhuja Medical Center in Highland Hills, OH to bring her home.Willia Mae attended the Gethesmane Baptist Church and Fairfield County Public Schools.She was married to her late husband, Roy Coleman, Jr., for 66 years. They were the parentsof seven children. She was a blessed and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother,and a friend to many. She was a great homemaker who loved and enjoyedtaking care of her family, always making sure that everyone gathered together on Sundaysfor dinner, which included friends of her children.She was known for her impeccable taste in clothing and hats. Everyone she met adoredher style and loved her hats. She enjoyed sewing and was a master at putting an ensembletogether. She worked in fabric stores after retiring, which she loved very much, alwaysmeeting new people and sharing her skills at sewing and matching fabrics.Willia Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, one grandson Cedric John Peoples,her parents, eight sisters and two brothers: Magnolia Means, Edith Bates, Jessie Woodard,Fred Peoples, Ollie Peoples, Cora Jackson, Laura Bessicks, Jannie Hall, Margaret Reed andRobert Peoples, Jr.She is survived by her children, John (Lucille) Peoples of Blair, SC, Olivia Germany ofTwinsburg, OH, Lonnie (Frances) of Solon, OH, Willie (Marsha) of Blair, SC, Charlieof Warrensville Heights, OH, Rosalind Coleman of Cleveland, OH and Rudolph of LosAngeles, CA.She leaves to mourn one sister, Sadie Peoples Thompson, and one brother, Theodore Peoples.Five sisters-in-law, Sarah Peoples of Blair, SC, Nancy Coleman of Cleveland, OH, CatherineHoward of New Jersey, Elizabeth Junious of Blair, SC, Virginia C. (William) Armstrong ofWinnsboro, SC.Three brothers-in-law, Horace (Mary) Coleman of Sherwood, AR, Charlie Mitchell (Sylvia)Coleman of Chester, SC, and Frank Coleman of Cleveland, OH, fifteen grandchildren,twenty-eight great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 12:30pm (11:30am viewing) Saturday December 23, 2017 @ Gethsemane Baptist Church.
