Thomasina McCants Mobley

February 25, 1935 – January 7, 2022

Thomasina Mobley, who has given the world 86 glorious years of love and support, passed away on January 7, 2022.

She was born on February 25th, 1935, and grew up in Winnsboro, SC, the daughter of the late John H. and Della McCants. This tight-knit family of five children was built on a foundation of love, support, and care. And when the time came, this loving daughter and caring sister, created a 64-year blessed union with her devoted husband George Mobley. Together, they lived and traveled the world but above all her purpose and joy remained simple - her family and her God.

She was a nurturing mother and fierce protector to her two sons, Gregory of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Gary of New York, New York.  She was a doting grandmother to Gregory, Monica, Nicole, Miles and Meesha and seven great-grandchildren.  Along with her husband and sons, she is survived by her brother Mack A. McCants, his wife Ann, a daughter-in-law, Lisa, and her treasured nephew and nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 pm Tuesday January 11, 2022 at St. Paul Baptist Church with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday January 10, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
