Mrs. Shirley Holmes Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Virginia O’Neal Holmes of Columbia SC passed away on January 14, 2022. She was born on May 5, 1951 in Richland County to the late Issac and Mattie O’Neal.

She was a graduate of McCorey-Liston High School class of 1969, and was employed at Standard Products of Winnsboro SC. She was a member of Morris Creek Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

A fun- loving person, Shirley will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Cornelius (Stephanie) Holmes of Columbia SC, two grandchildren Stephon Holmes and Anthony Holmes of Columbia SC, brother, Odeen (Bonita) O’Neal of Columbia SC, sister-in-law, Mablean O'Neal; special friend, Frederick Gilliam and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie J. O'Neal, Daniel O'Neal and Joe Louis O'Neal.

Graveside service will be 2 pm Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Morris Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday January 18, 2022 from 3 pm to 6 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
