Mrs. Sandra Juanita (Hill) Ashford

Sandra Ashford, 70, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on August 22, 2025 

Sandra Juanita Ashford was born in Winnsboro, SC on March 8, 1955, to the late Preston and Elizabeth Hill.

She was employed with Fairfield County School until retirement.

Beyond her professional life, Sandra was known for her happy demeanor and willingness to anyone in need. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with family and friends, and was an active member of 1st Institutional Baptist Church of Phoenix, AZ.

Sandra is survived by her children, Stacie Holmes and Dominique Ashford; sisters, Mary A. Walker and Carolyn L. Johnson and brothers, Michel Hill and Bobby Hill. She had a best friend, Susie Banks of Winnsboro, SC and a host of other family and friends. Aunt, Mamie Lou Johnson, uncle, Jessie James Adams

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Freddie Hill, and Leroy Hill, sister-in-law, Rosetta Hill, brother-in-law, Charles Johnson.

Sandra leaves behind a legacy of kindness and will be remember by the many lives she touched through her friendship and community involvement.

Viewing will only be 3:00 pm to 4:00 Saturday September 6, 2025. 

Funeral service will be held at Russell-McCutchen Funeral Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro, SC 29180, on September 6, 2025 at 4;00 pm with burial at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
