Mrs. Oreather Weldon Brown

Mrs. Oreather  Brown, 88  of 228 Chappell Rd. Winnsboro S.C. was born on December 21, 1928, in Fairfield County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie and Bertha Rabb Weldon, she was number 6 of 13 children. She departed this earthly journey on August 21, 2017 for her new home. Waiting at the River are her loving parents, husband of 40 years Mr. Simpson D. Brown Sr., Siblings; Ordaris, Bertha, Willie, Charles, Annie, Mattie and Mary. Oreather grew up and attended school in Fairfield County. At an early age she was a member of Shiloh AME Church, and was Co-Owner of Mister Brown Seafood. A loving Mother, grandmother, sister and friend leaves to cherish her memory five sons: Simpson, "Junior", Ezzard Smiley" (Jackie), Moses (Yolanda), Amos and Willie "Bill" Brown all of Columbia, SC.; One daughter: Shirley (Calvin) Boyd of Columbia, SC.  Brothers:  Paul (Frances)Weldon, of Columbia SC., John Weldon of Virginia, Beach: Sisters: Majorie Owens, Betty Weldon, Charlotte Court House, Virginia , Ruth Daniels of  Columbia, SC. Brother-in-law; Rev. T.D. (Bernice) Brown of Columbia S.C., Bishop Dock Davis of Winston Salem N.C. 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends, all whom will miss her DEARLY.  Funeral services will be 3:00 pm  Sunday, August 27, 2017 @  The Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel With burial at Shiloh AME Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
