Mrs. Helen Murray Geiger was born on January 8, 1940 in Lake Park, Georgia to the late Willie L. and Amy Murray. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She began her spiritual journey at Bible Light Holiness Church where she received salvation with baptism and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in the name of the Lord Jesus. During her later years she was honored as the Church Mother by Bishop J.A. Deas. As her health permitted she attended the First Church.
Helen was married to the love of her life Deacon Harry Geiger for over 59 years.
Helen Murray Geiger’s memories will be forever cherished by her husband, Deacon Harry Geiger; four sons, Roy J. (Judith) Murray of Ridgeway SC, Cleveland Murray of Palmetto FL, Aaron Dunbar (Mary J. DeShazo) of Charlotte NC, Curtis L. (Sharon) Dunbar of Radcliff KY; four brothers, Emmerson (Ora Lee) Murray of Palmetto FL, Johnny (Shirley) Murray of Palmetto FL, Wallace (Dovie) Murray of Atlanta GA; two sisters, Emma Jean (Randolph) Hodo of Sarasota FL and Cora Fobbs of Rock Hill SC; sister-in-law, Georgiana Martin; 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, god-daughters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 12 noon (11 am viewing) October 30, 2024 @ the Purity Lodge in Ridgeway, 63 Scarlet Ln Ridgeway SC 29130, with burial @ Memorial Gardens of Columbia SC.
Visitation will be from 1 pm to 6 pm Tuesday October 29, 2024 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
