Mrs. Dorothy Marie (Washington) Neal

Dorothy Marie Neal was born July 7, 1941 to the late Edward and Evelyn Washington. Dorothy affectionately known as Ms. Dot took her final rest at Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital on early Wednesday morning.

Dorothy was educated in the public school of Fairfield County. Dorothy worked over 20 years at National Health Corporation until her health failed. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church in Blythewood where she served on the church missionary society.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Mac Washington Ridgeway SC, Deacon Melvin Washington (Vivian) of Columbia SC, nephews, Earl Johnson, Ernest Squirewell, nieces, Karen Peoples, Shiela Outing, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Oliver Neal, daughter Claudine Washington.

Funeral service will be 1 pm Sunday September 24, 2023 @ Calvary Independent Church, 716 Sandfield Rd. Blythewood SC 29016 with burial @ Calvary Baptist Church, 2815 E. Peach Rd. Ridgeway SC 29130.  Visitation will be Saturday September 23, 2023 from 1 pm to 5 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
