Mrs. Delois King Obituary

Mrs. Delois Jackson King was born on February 10, 1957 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She left this earthly home on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at MUSC Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Jackson. Delois was educated in the Fairfield County Public School System. She attended St. Luke Baptist Church in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She gained employment at several different businesses throughout her life to include: Lizard’s Thicket in Columbia, SC; in Fairfield County she was employed at Barn Express, Greenbrier Retirement Home, Food Lion, and Chappell Adult Daycare—where she was employed at the time of her passing.

Delois shared a loving home with her husband, Michael King and a daughter she raised, Chyquita Wright. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by 6 sisters, Delphine Gibbs, Vernell Sampson, Michelle Riley, Zelma Weldon, Sondra (Jeff) Herndon, Bertha (Randy) Boyd and 5 brothers, Dan Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Sherman Jackson, James Jackson, John Henry Stevenson and other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents Delois was preceded in death by her grandparents, sister Carolyn Jackson, brothers Robert Jackson Jr, Isaac Jackson, Willie Jackson and Nathaniel Jackson.

Funeral service will be 1 pm (12 noon viewing) Monday November 27, 2023 @ St. Luke Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing at the funeral home.
