Mrs. Crystal Lavette Goins-Kennedy

Crystal Lavette Goins-Kennedy was born December 28, 1989 to the late Beverly McCorkle Goins and Melvin Goins. She departed this life on June 12, 2023.

Crystal was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County, where she graduated from Fairfield Central High School class of 2008. She attended Fortis College and received her certification as a medical assistant. She was a devoted wife, a great mother to her kids, and loved by her family and friends.

Crystal accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church, served as a member on the choir and willingness to assist where she was needed.

Crystal is survived by her husband, Marvin Kennedy Sr., four daughters, Me’Liyah Kennedy, Ma’Laysia Kennedy, Mia Kennedy, and Mylah Kennedy; one son, Marvin Kennedy Jr.; father, Melvin Goins, two brothers, Je’Rel Goins, and Eric Green; one sister Arcorsha  Goins-Gaston (Baron); two nieces and four nephews; mother-in-law, Diane Cammon, two sister-in-law, Danielle Kennedy and LaTecia Kennedy. Grandmother, Mozell McCorkle, great grandmother, Naomi Waden, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family that loved her dearly.

Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly McCorkle Goins, Grandparents, Elijah McCorkle, Joseph and Juanita Goins, and Jim Ed Cammon and Rosa L. Cammon.

Funeral service for Crystal Goins Kennedy will be 2pm Monday June 19, 2023 @ Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 716 Sandfield Rd Blythewood SC 29016 with burial @ Calvary Baptist Church cemetery on McCorkle Rd. Ridgeway SC 29130. Viewing will be Saturday June 17, 2023 from 12 noon to 6pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
