Mrs. Christine "Tina" Able

Mrs. Christine “Tina” Alston Able was born February 9, 1930 to the late Hezekiah Alston, Sr. and the late Alberta Kennedy.  She departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2015 at her home in Ridgeway, SC. Christine was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ridgeway, SC. She later became affiliated with Calvary Baptist Church in Blythewood, SC. Christine was a faithful member at both churches. Christine was employed for 5 years as a CNA at Tanglewood Healthcare Center in Ridgeway, SC.  She was very caring and loving to the residents of Tanglewood. Her memory is cherished by her son, Ernest (Eva) Able Sr. of Winnsboro, SC; her brother, Hezekiah (Betty) Alston of Ridgeway, SC; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Gillard of charlotte, NC and Mrs. Carrie M. Able of Ridgeway, SC; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Special thanks to her granddaughter Dolsie Able and great-granddaughter Alexcian Able for all of the many sacrifices you made to give your Grandmother the best possible care. Mrs. Able was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Mr. Wesley Able, her brother Damon Alston of Ridgeway, SCand her sister, Mrs. Roberta Alston O’Daniel of Jamaica, NY. Funeral services will be Saturday June 20, 2015 @11:00am Shiloh Independent Church with burial at Calvary Baptist Church Ridgeway SC. Viewing will be Friday June19, 2015 from 12:00 to 8:00pm at The Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Winnsboro SC.
