Mrs. Carrie Dixon Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Louise Dixon was the daughter of the late Joe and Leola Harrison-Irvin of Columbia, SC. She was born on September 28, 1942 in Fairfield County.

Mrs. Carrie Dixon was married to the late Mr. David Dixon, and to this union came four children.

Mrs. Dixon attended C.A. Johnson High School in Columbia, SC and she retired from Fairfield County School District as a cafeteria worker.

She leaves to mourn her passing; two sons, Thomas G. Irvin (Judy) of Columbia, SC, and Van Dixon (Doris) of Elgin, SC, one sister, Virginia Gilliam of Columbia, of Columbia, SC, brother and sister-in-law, John Dixon, James Dixon (Joyce), Nancy Tucker, Grace Outen (John), Jeanette Dixon, Seven Grand-children; Cedrick Wood of Alabama, Derrick Irvin of Columbia, SC, Erick Irvin of Atlanta GA, William Chandler of Columbia, SC and David Chandler of Winnsboro, SC and Timothy and Erica Dixon of Columbia, SC, three great-grandchildren; Deonna McKayla Irvin, Braylen Wood and Christian Wood, and a host of nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Wanda Chandler and Daisy Dixon, one son, David Dixon Jr., her parents, Leola and Joe Irvin.

Graveside service will be 11 am Wednesday January 12, 2022 @ Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on Peay St. Winnsboro SC. Visitation will be Tuesday January 11, 2022 from 11:30 am to 5 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst. Winnsboro SC 29180.
