A place is vacant in our heart that can never be filled

Mrs. Alvetta Owens entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia SC. She answered the Master’s call and departed this life after sixty four years on this earthly journey. Born in Fairfield County, February 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Addie Lee Weldon.

Alvetta was known to her family and friends as Pig. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all those who knew and loved her. She loved fishing, playing games on her phone, and spoiling everyone babies.

Mrs. Owens leaves to be remembered and cherish loving memories, her husband, Anderson Owens Jr,one son, Veshawn (Goldie) Owens, two daughters, Cathy (Drunta) Sampson, and Veronica Owens of Winnsboro, SC, one brother Arthur Weldon, Winnsboro, SC, two sisters, Dorothy Riley and Sarah Goins, Winnsboro,SC, eight grandchildren, Breanna, Shakeem, Dajashia, Aleesia, Tremaine, Jada, Dimarkus, and Jayson. one great granddaughter, Khloe, one special cousin dear to her Shirley, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Marcie Jenkins for taking care of her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers James & Joe Weldon.

A memorial service will be 2 pm Sunday February 6, 2022 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
