Mr. Wilbert Crumblin

Mr. Wilbert Franklin Crumblin  affectionately known as "Monk" was born September 13, 1935 in Jenkinsville SC to the late John and Mary Crumblin. Wilbert passed away comfortably at the Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Columbia SC on March 19, 2018 at the age of 82. Wilbert attended St. Barnabas Mission Elementary School in Jenkinsville SC and graduated from Camp Liberty High School. He furthered his education at South Carolina State College where he received ROTC training.Wilbert was nurtured by the  influence of a Christain family which resulted in his becoming a diligent and faithful member of St. Peter AME Church where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Baten Crumblin, and sons, Frankie Crumblin and Kenneth Crumblin of Jenkinsville SC.Wilbert is lovingly remembered by his brother, John B. (Gecora) Crumblin of Fort Walton Beach FL. and sister, Betty C. (John) Hudson of Columbia SC. He leaves a legacy of love and memories to his nephews, nieces, aunt and a host of relatives and friends.Funeral service will be 2:00pm (1:00pm viewing) Sat. Mar. 24, 2018 @ St. Peter Community Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri. Mar. 23, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
