Mr. Tommy "Pete" Andy Young

Mr. Tommy A. Young son of the late John and Bessie Griffin Young was born in (Shelton) Fairfield County SC on December 4, 1940 and entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2020.

 He was a member of Old Hope Station Baptist Church of Blair SC.

He attended the public schools in Fairfield County. He worked with Lyles Logging Company in his earlier years of life and later with Quality Logging LLC. He retired from Fairfield County Recycling Center in Shelton of 8 years in 2020.

Tommy never met a stranger. Tommy was one of the most well respected, kind hearted, free spirit and loving person anyone would ever want to meet. He was the life of the party type of guy. He loved fishing, watching westerns, cooking and especially being with family and friends. Tommy was a dear brother, uncle, great- uncle, great-great uncle to many of his nieces, nephews.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, two sisters, Daisy Lee Smith of Carlisle SC and Nellie Rae Murphy of Greensboro NC, special nephew, Antoine (Wanda) Young of Winnsboro SC and a host of other relatives and friends all whom will miss him dearly.

 Graveside service will be 1 PM Saturday October 31, 2020 @ Old Hope Station Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 PM to 6 PM Friday October 30, 2020 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
