Mr. Timothy Irby 56 was born in Winnsboro SC on August 31, 1962 in Fairfield County to the late Mamion and Beatrice Kelly Irby. He entered into eternal rest on Monday November 5, 2018 at Providence Health Hospital in Columbia SC.
He graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1980, and attended Midlands Technical College. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church. His favorite song was “A Better Day Is Coming” which he often lead.
Tim, as he’s affectionately known, enjoyed living life to the fullest, and was always the life of the party. He was a devoted father, uncle, and loved spending time with his friends and family. He believed that laughter was food for the soul. You could always find him joking and laughing. He would often do random acts of kindness, whether it was impromptu pizza party for his nieces and nephews or an unsolicited deposit into your bank account, just when you needed it. His zest for life, thoughtfulness, kindness, and sense of humor were contagious and enjoyed by everyone that he met.
He worked for Daniel Construction Company at the V C Nuclear Station a number of years, and was the owner of Tim’s Landscaping, Pressure Washing & Portable Jon Rental Service.
He will be dearly missed by his family. He is survived by one son: Tito Byrd of Winnsboro SC, three grandchildren: Dashard, Chase and Takia Byrd: four brothers: Walter Irby of Warner Robins Georgia, Rev. Larry (Miriam) Irby, Wendell (Carolyn) Irby of Winnsboro SC, Floyd (Arleen) Irby of Columbia SC and one sister: Augretha Trapp of Winnsboro SC, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son: Latonia Workman and three brothers: Mamion, John and Michael Irby.
Funeral service will be 1pm (12 noon viewing) Saturday, November 10, 2018 @ St. John Baptist Church Anderson Quarry with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon to 7pm Friday November 9, 2018 @ Russell-McCutchen Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
