Mr. Stanley Eugene Pearson, son of the late Robert Lee and Frances Farrow Pearson was born November 10th, 1957 in Fairfield County. He departed his life on January 1st, 2019.
At an early age Stanley joined St. Matthew Baptist Church #2. He graduated from McCrorey Liston High School in Blair SC in 1976.
Stanley was kind and giving with an infectious laugh and witty sense of humor. In his early career, Stanley worked in the construction industry. His strong work ethic, diligence, and knowledge of the industry was recognized, often earning him accolades and later a management position at one of the top construction companies in Washington, DC. Stanley's hands were blessed and many were the beneficiaries of his craft as he continued work in home improvement, often remodeling homes, painting, and other handyman work.
He loved to be near the water and especially loved to fish.
He leaves to cherish his memory: One daughter Tahisha (Rashawn) Fugate of Brandywine, MD and one son Steven Pearson of Washington, DC.
He leaves one granddaughter Sophia Rose Fugate (4) and two grandsons Jamari Cunningham (16) and Jadon Tyree (12). He leaves four sisters, Ola Mae Bell, Washington DC, Shirley Yarborough, Staunton, VA, Catherine Willingham (Vincent) and Barbara Charles, Jenkinsville, SC. Four brothers Robert Pearson (Geneva) Springdale, MD., Eddie Pearson Annapolis MD., Charles Pearson (Brenda) Blair, SC. and Marshall Pearson (Marie) Manassas, VA. and host of extended family and friends all whom will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Davis Lee Pearson, and nephew Christopher C. Pearson.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Sunday January 6, 2019 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180. There will be no visitation Saturday January 5, 2019.
Luke 5:4-6 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
