Mr. Roosevelt "Buddy Boy" Johnson

Mr. Roosevelt Johnson, known as “Buddy Boy” to family and friends, was born April 11, 1939 in Fairfield County to the late Ms. Amanda Greene and Mr. Roosevelt Johnson, Sr. He departed his earthly life on April 27, 2023.

Mr. Johnson was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County. “Buddy Boy” was a hard worker. He was very dedicated to his job at Duke Power Company located in North Carolina. He retired from Duke Power after 30 years of employment when his health began to decline. A diehard Chevy lover, “Buddy Boy” was a very outgoing person who enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Mamie Lou Adams Johnson; his daughter, Ms. Louella J. Sanders of Winnsboro, SC; his son, Willie Frank Johnson of Winnsboro, SC; 1 brother-in-law, Mr. Jessie James Adams of Winnsboro, SC; 5 grandchildren, Mr. James Quintae Sanders of Winnsboro, SC, Miss QuinShonda Nicole Sanders of Winnsboro,SC,  Miss Pharlicia T. Johnson, Miss Alyssa L. Johnson and Miss Jalicia M. Johnson, all of Montgomery, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he dearly loved.

Funeral service for Mr. Roosevelt Johnson will be 12 noon Tuesday May 2, 2023 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180 Visitation will be Monday May 1, 2023 from 1pm to 6pm @ the funeral home.
