Mr. Melvin Sampson Obituary

Mr. Melvin Sampson was born June 26, 1961 to the late Lucius and Lillie Bell Sampson. He departed this earthly life on April 8, 2023.

Melvin, known as “Samp Dogg” to family and friends he was very good on fixing cars and doing a lot of odd jobs before his illness . Melvin was a loving brother, father and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Morkise McDuffie, four step kids, McArthur, Asheda, Kevin, and Kelcey Young, and a longtime girlfriend Martha Beaty.

Melvin has two brothers, Lucius Sampson (Deloris), Drunta Sampson (Cathy), five sisters, Barbara Jones, Connie Sampson (Wallace), Pattie Williams (Nathaniel), Loretta Sampson (Curtis), and Linda Weldon (Gregory), sister in law, Mary Sampson, brother in law, Tyrell Manning. He has a host nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Lucius and Lillie Bell Sampson, brothers, Willie (Smoothie) Sampson, Keith Sampson, sister, Sandy Manning.

Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday April 15, 2023 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180. Visitation will be from 2pm to 6pm Friday April 14, 2023 @ the funeral home.
