Mr Marvin Hill Obituary

Mr. Marvin Rodexter Hill, 55, departed this earthly life on June 17, 2026, at his home. Born on December 5, 1970, in Fairfield County, South Carolina, Marvin was the beloved son of the late William H. Hill, Sr. and the late Ruby N. Hill.

Marvin was educated in the Fairfield County School System and was known throughout the community for his warm smile, easygoing personality, and peaceful spirit. He never met a stranger and had a unique ability to make others laugh with his quick wit and sense of humor. Marvin loved joking with family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

One of Marvin's greatest passions was cooking. He was employed by Waffle House in Ridgeway, South Carolina, where he took great pride in preparing meals that brought joy to customers and coworkers alike. His food was well-loved, and his kindness, dedication, and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Marvin leaves to cherish his precious memories his son, Michael Squirewell; his loving partner of more than fifteen years, Pam Griffin; Brooklyn Foster, who held a very special place in his heart and affectionately called him "Paw-Paw"; his sisters, Wilma Hill Manning, Larvett Hill, and Candace (Kiara) Alexander; his aunts, Betty Jo Burns and Alice Burns; his uncle, Leroy Burns, Jr.; his great-uncle, J.W. Sampson; and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Hill, Sr. and Ruby N. Hill; his brother, William H. Hill, Jr.; and his sister, Tammy Hill.

Though Marvin's earthly journey has ended, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering kindness will never be forgotten.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
