Mr. Mac Caldwell Obituary

Mr. Mac Arthur (Tugg) Caldwell entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland. He was the son of the late Elder James Caldwell Sr. and the late Rosa Heath Caldwell. He was born in Fairfield County on March 5, 1956, where he graduated from Winnsboro High School then began his career as a brick mason. He was quiet, soft spoken and stayed to himself.  He loved fishing, listening to music, and watching sports, most importantly he loved his job working as a brick mason.

  Mac Arthur was affectionately known by his family and friends by the name “Tugg”. He had a special bond with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

  He was predeceased in death by his wife Linda N. Caldwell, two sons, Jeremy and Bryan Caldwell; three brothers, Edward, Ulysses and John Caldwell; two sisters, Dorothy C. Mickle and Deloris Bagley.

He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters,  Atoya N. Caldwell of Winnsboro SC, Miya and Brandy Caldwell both of Lugoff SC and Roshonda Thompson of Lancaster Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Darinisha Woodard, Alexia Aldridge, and Ashli Crim all of Winnsboro SC; two great grandchildren, Je’Ryah Henry and Bryson Irby; four sisters, Daisy Holmes, Mattie Caldwell both of Winnsboro SC, Isabell Caldwell of New Britain CT, Rebecca (Joe) Watkins of Hartford CT; two brothers, James Caldwell Jr., Willie" Freeman" Caldwell both of Winnsboro SC; two aunts, Curlee Burris of Greensboro NC and Georgetta Brice of Sebring Florida; three uncles, John Caldwell of Hartford CT, Freeman Heath of Chester SC, and Joe Heath of Blackstock SC, two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Caldwell, Lethia Caldwell, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends all whom will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be 2pm Tuesday May 28, 2019 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.Visitation will be Monday May 27, 2019 from 3pm to 5pm @ the funeral home.
