Mr. Henry Martin Obituary

Mr. Henry Martin was born on September 8, 1941 to the late Moses and Kittie Lee Martin in Winnsboro, S.C. He departed this earthly life on Friday January 24, 2025 at Springdale Healthcare Center.

Henry attend the public schools of Fairfield County. He met the love of his life in middle school and they were united in marriage for 58 years. After school he and his brothers worked in pulpwood business with their father and their business turned into Martin’s Brothers Logging where he retired from.

Henry had many hobbies, he loved to build, and he enjoyed welding and sitting in backyard chatting with his brothers. He was a jack of all trades, if you let him tell it.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Avon Van Bibber of Columbia, S.C., Melissa Martin, Henry Martin and Tara (Vincent) McCants, all of Winnsboro, S.C., Rindy Martin of Pennsylvania and Lamanda Smith of Columbia, S.C. 17 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. One brother, Heyward (Georgetta) Martin, 2 sister-in-law, Irene Martin of Winnsboro, S.C., Betty Able of Ridgeway, S.C., 3 brother-in-law, David Harrison, Jeff Hines and Bobby Harrison, and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee Martin, sister, Evelyn Hines and brothers, Clyde, Fedward, Otto and Frank Martin.

Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday January 30, 2025 @ Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2508 Camp Welfare Rd. Winnsboro, S.C. 29180. Burial in the church cemetery.

 Visitation will be Wednesday January 29, 2025 from 2 pm to 6 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro, S.C. 29180.
