Mr. Darryl Wayne Pearson Sr.

Darryl Wayne Pearson Sr. affectionately known as Daddy Wayne/Big D was born on February 17, 1962 in Winnsboro SC to the late David and Jessie Ann Pearson Jr. He entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Darryl was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County, Winnsboro High School class of 1980 and furthered his education at South Carolina State University.

Darryl never met a stranger. He was always so joyful and fill of laughter. To know him was to love him. He loved his children and grandchildren. Every conversation you had with him they were always the top of his conversation.

Darryl was a master truck driver. Driving trucks was his greatest passion. He took pride in his trade. Darryl drove for several companies near and far.

He leaves to cherish fond memories two children, Darryl W. Pearson Jr. (Kimberly) of Florence SC and Tiea’Quanna L. Pearson of Ridgeway SC, four grandchildren, Jeramiah Gilchrist, Kobe D.Wayne Pearson, Dre Kyre Pearson, Ava Maliyah Addison of Ridgeway SC. Three brothers, David Pearson III (Brenda) of Ridgeway SC, Calvin L. Pearson (Doris) of the home, Melvin Johnson (Terri), of Winnsboro SC, two sisters, Betty Mitchell of Winnsboro SC and Diane Hollins (Curtis) of Blythewood SC and a special niece/sister Katrina P. Sims (J. Ronald) and other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

 Funeral service will be 2:30 pm Saturday December 2, 2023 @ St. Luke Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday December 1, 2023 from 4 pm to 6 pm @ Russsell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
