Mr. Cleveland Seibles Obituary

Our beloved Cleveland Seibles of Columbia, South Carolina found peace in glory on April 10, 2021. 

Born on February 10, 1929 in Fairfield County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Walter P. Seibles and Mary Brown Seibles. He attended Fairfield County schools and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Allen University. He was a member of Lakeview Masonic Lodge #638, Cayce ,SC and also a devout member and Steward of Shiloh First Independent Church in Winnsboro. 

Cleveland served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1951, and was employed by Fairfield and Richland County school districts as an educator. After retiring as an educator, he became self-employed as a painter and landscaper. Cleveland also found joy in spending time with and instilling values in each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren after retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Walter James Seibles and Matthew Perry Seibles; four sisters: Mary Alice Seibles, Fannie S. McDowell, Willie S. Mobley, and Elizabeth S. Cook and step-mother, Jessie Seibles.

He leaves his cherished memories to his wife, Vermell Seibles, two sons,  Carnell (Arlene) Seibles and Gary (Doristine) Seibles; five daughters: Jean Seibles, Vanessa (Donnell) Hardy, Rene (Aldaten) Seibles-Bolds, Maiba (Phanuel) Neuman, and Barbara Mitchell; three brothers: James (Geraldine) Seibles, John (Shirley) Seibles, and Moses (Lawanda) Seibles; three sisters: Janice (Clarence) Pauling, Doris (Willie) Belton, and Beulah (Alex) Bland; sister-in-law, Francis Seibles; ten grandchildren: Tavaras, Ebony, Jordyn, India, Jazzi, Madisen, Chance, Jada, Oni, and PJ; four great-grandchildren: Jeciah, Israel, Sun, and Canon; and the mother of his children, Thelma Carson Seibles. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones whom will deeply miss him, and his most infectious laughter and spirit.

Funeral service will be 1pm Friday  April 16, 2021 @ Shiloh First Independent Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon to 6pm Thursday April 15, 2021 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
