Christopher Simmons affectionately known as “Chris” was the youngest child of the late Albert and Lillie B. Simmons. Born on November 28, 1966, he transitioned into his eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Chris was a graduate of Winnsboro High School Class of 1985. Anyone that knew Chris knew that he loved his family and was proud of each and every one of their accomplishments. Before his decline in health, he was a proud ironworker where his smile and his gift of never meeting a stranger allowed him to become acquainted with some lifelong friends.
Chris leaves to cherish his memories: wife, companion, loving caregiver Malisa; daughter, Christy; grandsons: Cory Benson and Tristan Davis; brothers: John (Cassandra) Simmons, Leroy Simmons, Leonard (Doris) Simmons, Bobby (Cynthia) Simmons, Stanley Simmons and Freeman Simmons; sisters: Roxie (Walter) Woodard, Cathy (Stanley) Washington; brothers-in-law: Mike (Carla) Thompson, Isaac Thompson and Brian Thompson; sister-in-law: Monteria (Bryant) Williams; his host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and close friends; also special friends: James Boney and Rashad Haire; bonus daughter, Kayla White and god-daughter, Brittney Scott.
Chris had angels to meet him at the gate—his parents, Albert and Lillie B. Simmons; sister, Vanessa McCants; brother, James Simmons and his baby, Christopher Simmons, Jr. reunited in eternal rest.
