James A. Griffin

Mr. James A. Griffin was born on March 23, 1955 in Blair, SC.  He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Aug 25, 2015.  Alford joined Gethsemane Baptist Church as a young man. Alford leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Wenderlyn Gallmon, granddaughter, Winter Z. Gallmon of Newberry, SC; Four Brothers, Robert Trapp, Theodore Black, Clarence  Jerome Griffin, and Clemente Griffin.  Five sisters; Beverly G. Henderson, Stephanie Griffin, Shelia English, Debbie Griffin and Sharon LaRhonda Griffin.  Three Aunts and a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends with which he shared a special bond. Funeral services for Mr. Griffin “Po Al” will be held at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Blair, SC, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1:00pm (12 noon viewing).  Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 28, 2015 from 2:00 until 7:00pm, at the Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel.
