Mrs Wilhelamenia Whitener Obituary

Wilhelamenia Durham Whitener was born July 24, 1924 to Robert and Bessie Durham in Winnsboro, SC. She was the youngest of 11 children. Wilhelamenia was called on to glory on January 26, 2024.

She leaves behind three granddaughters Naomi Barnes, Desire Cage and Constantia Aguirre, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and a wealth of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Whitener, son Charles Urquhart 7 brothers Robert, Eugene, Chamberlain, Eddie Mac, Charlie, John, Malachi, and 3 sisters Albirtha Durham Simposn, Luvenia Durham Green, and Essie Bell Durham Squirewell. 

Wilhelamenia knew what she wanted and expected nothing less. She last worked as a personal caregiver and prior to that she worked for the South Carolina Council on Aging. 

Finally the family would like to thank Brenda Furgurson and Peggy Kelley for their support and love in caring for our beloved Wilhelamenia.

Graveside service will be 12 noon Saturday February 10, 2024 @ White Oak Baptist Church # 1 Cemetery, 520 White Oak Church Rd. Winnsboro SC 29180. Visitation will be Friday February 9, 2024 from 1 pm to 5 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
