Mr. Edward Jackson Obituary

On February 13, 2024 our beloved Edward James Jackson was called to rest at the Dorn Veteran's Hospital, in Columbia, SC.

Edward was born in Winnsboro, SC on April 20, 1971, to the late Mr. Jessie Jackson and Mrs. Mary Ann Byrd-Jackson.

Edward, fondly known as Bud, was educated in the Fairfield County Public School System. He attended and graduated from Fairfield Central High School where he excelled on the football team. 

After graduating high school Edward joined the United States Army where again, he excelled and was honorably discharged.

Edward was joined in marriage to the now Mrs. Jacquelyne Shivers of Atlanta, GA. they were blessed with two sons, Mr. Tyree Jackson of Atlanta, and Mr. Jaelon Jackson of Ft. Sill, OK. 

Edward was later joined with Ms. Latarsha Adams of Columbia, SC and they were blessed with one son Mr. Eian Jackson Adams.

Biblically three sons are blessings, and all three sons continue to bless our lives.

Edward also leaves to mourn his three sons, Tyree, Jaelon and Eian, his mother Mrs. Mary Ann Jackson, brother, Jermaine Jackson, nephew Tito Byrd, three aunts Sarah Woodard, Dorothy Baker and Maggie Byrd as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers Mrs. Lizzie Young (fraternal) and Mrs. Osa Mae   Byrd (maternal), sisters Vivian Byrd and LaToya Jackson and brother, Andre Jackson. Edward's two beloved uncles also preceded him in death, Mr.  James Arthur Byrd and Mr. Elijah Byrd.

A memorial service will be 11 am Thursday February 29, 2024 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180. Burial will be @ Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd. Columbia SC 29229.
